Marcel Schreur is a Dutch artist who used to live in Denekamp, The Netherlands, where he was befriended by the late Fr Jacques Derksen mhm
His amazing story is the subject of an exhibition at the Jesuit Centre in Farmstreet, London.
Having survived cancer twice and coming back from dementia and still heavily affected by the diseases, he is bleeding his experiences and love for life onto the canvas and into sculpting. He says “I have gift, a gift is to be shared, not exclusively owned. That’s what I just love doing. Art is my expression of this gift”.
