Exhibition Celebrating the 150th anniversay of the Mill Hill Missionaries

St Joseph's Chapel, Westminster Cathedral

An exhibition celebrating the 150th anniversary of the Mill Hill Missionaries opened in the Cathedral's chapel of St Joseph earlier today. This free exhibition will remain open until the feast of St Joseph, Saturday 19 March, when Cardinal Vincent Nichols will celebrate a Mass in thanksgiving for the Mill Hill Missionaries at 12.30pm. The St Joseph's Missionary Society of Mill Hill was founded by the future Cardinal Herbert Vaughan in 1866. He later founded Westminster Cathedral following his appointment as the third Archbishop of Westminster. A member of the Mill Hill Missionaries, Br Eddie Slawinski MHM, can be seen in one of these photos, following his setting up the exhibition. He was helped by the MHM's National Appeals Director, Lynne Powell.
